Small Towson Personal Injury Law Firm seeking two full time paralegal/legal assistant with 3- 5 years personal injury experience. Plaintiff’s personal injury experience preferred. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is able to work independently; is highly organized with the ability to prioritize and proactively manage a large case load; is detail oriented and accurate; proficient with computers and possess excellent communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for handling claims from inception through resolution. The position entails extensive contact with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters and medical providers.
Duties & responsibilities include paralegal/legal assistant: opening new files; gather and analyze intake information and relevant documents; fully investigate each case; maintain contact with clients on regular basis; prepare documents and correspondence; collect documentation of all damages sustained such as medical records, bills and loss of income; read and interpret medical records and reports and summarize; organize and maintain case files, including updating information in case management software.
Must be able to jump into an existing caseload and move cases forward; have a strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast paced environment; have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact; be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; have exceptional communication and written skills; and have good computer skills.
