Akerman is seeking a full-time Immigration Coordinator for our Labor & Employment/Immigration Practice Group, based in our Miami office. The Immigration Coordinator will work in a fast-paced team environment responding to a high volume of client inquiries as well as monitor the status of cases. This is a full-time role that requires you to work onsite Monday through Friday, with the ability and willingness to work extended hours when necessary to meet client and firm deadlines.
Below is a list of some of the responsibilities for the position:
The Coordinator will maintain client contact information; update and manage status reports; upload documents into immigration case management system; and assist with projects as assigned. The Coordinator must learn procedural and processing requirements for non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications. Customer service and marketing skills are a plus. A High School Diploma is required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Prior immigration experience and/or law firm experience is desired. Candidates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, have excellent service orientation skills and strong attention to detail. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus for this position.
