We are a fast-growing debt relief company helping consumers resolve and manage their debt obligations. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Case Manager to oversee litigated accounts, coordinate with local counsel across the United States, and guide clients through the litigation process from start to finish.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can independently manage a high volume of cases, communicate professionally with attorneys and clients, and ensure that every case is actively monitored through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between our company and local counsel handling litigated accounts.
- Coordinate all litigation-related activities from referral through final resolution.
- Gather, organize, and transmit all necessary documentation and case information to attorneys.
- Track and monitor court dates, hearings, filing deadlines, discovery deadlines, and other critical milestones.
- Maintain regular communication with local counsel regarding case status and next steps.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding requests, documents, and case developments.
- Maintain accurate case records, notes, and updates within our case management system.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation status, legal processes, expectations, and required actions.
- Explain case developments to clients in a clear, professional, and empathetic manner.
- Escalate urgent issues and identify potential risks before they become problems.
- Ensure no deadlines, court dates, or attorney requests are missed.
- Work closely with internal legal, negotiations, and operations teams to drive cases toward successful resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, Litigation Assistant, Legal Case Manager, or similar role.
- Previous experience working for a U.S.-based law firm, legal services company, debt relief company, debt settlement company, collections firm, or financial services company.
- Strong understanding of U.S. civil litigation processes and legal terminology.
- Excellent spoken and written English with near-native fluency.
- Exceptional organizational and case management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines without constant supervision.
- Professional phone presence and client communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management software.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated remote workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in debt settlement, debt relief, consumer finance, collections, or creditor litigation.
- Experience working directly with U.S. attorneys and law firms.
- Familiarity with court procedures, pleadings, motions, and settlement negotiations.
- Experience using CRM and legal case management systems.
