Bilingual Paralegal (Spanish/English)
Overview
Busy family law practice is seeking a paralegal for litigation support. Our firm focuses mainly on family law, probate and real estate.
The candidate would focus mainly of the area of family law helping to complete discovery, draft motions, conduct research and prepare the attorney for all aspects of trial.
Duties
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Manage case files efficiently through document review, organization, and electronic filing using document management systems like MyCase.
- Support attorney with civil litigation tasks such as discovery responses, deposition summaries, and trial preparation.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining strict adherence to procedural law and privacy standards.
- Coordinate client interviews and gather relevant information for estate planning, family law, personal injury cases, or other practice areas.
- Utilize project management skills to track deadlines, court filings, and case milestones ensuring timely submissions.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
Qualifications
- Past paralegal Experience preferred.
- Proficient to fluent in Spanish.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
- Knowledge of procedural law, civil litigation support, and document review processes.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to perform legal drafting accurately and proofread documents meticulously.
- Effective interviewing skills for client intake and fact-finding sessions across various legal disciplines.
- Prior experience supporting attorneys in fast-paced law office environments is highly desirable.
