About The Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and AI-forward Paralegal / Legal Operations Specialist to support our in-house legal function.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and legal support to in-house counsel
- Manage contract intake, tracking, review coordination, execution, storage, and lifecycle workflows
- Draft, proofread, revise, and format legal documents, correspondence, summaries, reports, and internal communications
- Maintain accurate legal calendars, meeting schedules, deadlines, task lists, and matter-related follow-ups
- Organize and maintain digital legal files, contract repositories, matter management systems, corporate records, and related documentation
- Serve as a liaison between legal, internal stakeholders, outside counsel, vendors, and other business partners
- Support contract review processes by preparing first-pass summaries, tracking redlines, routing documents, and monitoring status through completion
- Leverage AI tools and legal technology to streamline research, document review, contract analysis, workflow automation, and knowledge management
- Assist with compliance tracking, board materials, corporate governance documents, regulatory filings, and other legal or business-critical materials as needed
- Help develop and improve legal operations processes, templates, trackers, and systems to support a growing organization
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of legal support experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal operations specialist, or equivalent role
- Experience supporting attorneys in an in-house legal department, law firm, or fast-paced corporate environment
- Strong comfort, curiosity, and practical experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Harvey, Ironclad AI, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, documents, and stakeholders at once
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, consistency, and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and move work forward without constant direction
- Professional discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential, privileged, or sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PDF tools, and contract or matter management platforms
- A process-oriented mindset with a willingness to improve systems, workflows, and team efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in fintech, EBT, healthcare benefits, payments, government programs, or other regulated financial services industries
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, compliance obligations, or contract structures relevant to financial products and technology platforms
- Experience supporting contract management, vendor agreements, customer agreements, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, employment-related documents, or corporate governance materials
- Paralegal certification or related legal education preferred, but not required
- Experience supporting a high-growth, entrepreneurial, or fast-moving legal team
- Prior experience implementing or improving legal operations tools, trackers, templates, or intake processes
