Job Offer: Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant (Spanish)

Part-Time Position
Lefebvre Michel Law, a Washington, D.C.-based law firm specializing in immigration and litigation, is seeking a Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant to join our team. This part-time position is ideal for someone with previous experience in immigration law and is fluent in Spanish. The role involves providing essential administrative and legal support to our attorneys and clients in immigration matters.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing filings for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), immigration courts, and other legal agencies
Draft legal documents, including affidavits, declarations, and supporting forms for immigration cases
Communicate effectively with clients and attorneys regarding case updates and documentation
Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and records related to client matters
Prepare and review immigration forms, ensuring all information is accurate and complete
Help in the preparation of motions, petitions, and applications
Perform legal research related to immigration cases as required
Provide general administrative support to attorneys and other legal staff
Qualifications:
Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is required
Previous experience in immigration law is required
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant legal software
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Position Details:
Compensation: $20 – $22 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Monthly Bonus available based on performance
Location: In-person, Washington, D.C.
Schedule: Part-time (20-30 hours per week, flexible scheduling)
Potential for future opportunities based on performance
