We need a defense paralegal for our growing fast paced practice. We are offering $60,000 to $75,000 per year depending on your experience with lots of benefits to include dental/health/vision/life plus it’s a hybrid schedule and you will work with highly experienced team that can help you grow.
We are looking for an Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal (Transportation/Personal Injury) with excellent computer and typing skills to work in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment. This position supports a firm partner and assists additional attorneys in the litigation section of the firm as needed. The ideal candidate will have both superior organizational skills and a masterful understanding of the litigation flow, as well as demonstrate the appropriate urgency and initiative in performing tasks that advance the cases toward resolution; will assist attorneys in prepping and organizing cases for hearings, depositions, mediations and trials, ordering and summarizing records, preparing affidavits and correspondence, conducting legal research, summarizing depositions, e-filing pleadings, scheduling, reviewing and analyzing law sources, and communications with attorneys and clients.
It is imperative that the paralegal understands how to manage a case from beginning to end.
Summarize cases and prepare reports for attorneys
Conduct research, investigate facts, and develop legal arguments
Draft legal documents such as contracts, depositions, and pleadings
Prepare and file documents with courts
Organize and archive the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
Keep track of changes in the legal framework and provide timely updates on these changes
Conduct client interviews and maintain general contact with the client
Locate and interview witnesses
Conduct investigations, statistical and documentary, and legal research
Draft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony
