Job Overview
California Property Law Group is a growing, plaintiff-side law firm focused exclusively on unlawful detainer matters.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to assist with preparing and filing unlawful detainer complaints and preparing documents for jury trials. Full training will be provided for both responsibilities.
This position offers hands-on exposure to litigation and direct mentorship from experienced attorneys. It is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in law, litigation, or attending law school who wants to develop practical legal skills while contributing to a growing firm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare unlawful detainer complaints and supporting documents
- File complaints and other legal documents with the appropriate courts
- Prepare jury instructions, verdict forms, exhibit lists, witness lists, trial binders, and other jury-trial documents
- Assist attorneys with litigation preparation and trial proceedings
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to move cases forward efficiently
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments
- Competence in data entry and case-management systems
- Ability and willingness to learn court procedures and litigation workflows
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Experience with unlawful detainer matters
- Experience preparing or filing legal documents
- Familiarity with litigation and trial procedures
- Proficiency with Clio or another legal case-management platform
- Legal drafting experience
- Prior law-firm or law-school experience
Full training will be provided. We are primarily looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in growing with the firm.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
