We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will focus exclusively on supporting personal injury claims, helping to streamline case management from intake through settlement or trial. Duties
- Case Management: Oversee a diverse caseload of personal injury matters (e.g., motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls); ensure all records are organized and updated in our case management system.
- Medical Records Handling: Request, track, and organize medical records and billing statements; prepare comprehensive medical chronologies and demand packages.
- Document Drafting: Draft, proofread, and edit essential documents including pleadings, discovery responses, settlement brochures, and general correspondence.
- Client & Provider Liaison: Maintain professional communication with clients to provide case updates, and coordinate with medical providers and insurance adjusters.
- Discovery Support: Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions and trials by organizing exhibits, managing discovery deadlines, and performing data entry.
- Intake & Interviews: Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information and evidence for ongoing claims.
- Administrative Support: Manage calendar deadlines (depositions, court dates) and provide executive administrative support to ensure smooth office workflows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Paralegal specifically within Personal Injury law.
- Software Proficiency: Experience using legal case management software and document management systems.
- Organizational Mastery: Strong ability to handle a high volume of files and multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Medical Literacy: Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to synthesize medical records into clear summaries.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and professional phone etiquette for client and adjuster interactions.
- Attention to Detail: Keen proofreading skills and a high level of accuracy in data entry and filing.
- Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work independently on task lists while collaborating seamlessly with attorneys and the support team.
