Essential Functions

  • Assist law enforcement officers to screen, assess, place, and

release children-in-need-of-care, status offenders and juvenile

for services to local program providers for assistance and/or

support for the youth and/or family.

  • Conditionally release a child-in-need-of-care or a juvenile offender

who is subject to requirements or conditions imposed on the youth

and/or family members to be completed prior to Court action.

forms.

  • Provide crisis intervention services and serve as a resource broker.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Kansas Juvenile Justice Code,
