A confidential plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking a midlevel Litigation Associate to join a newly forming practice group focused on sophisticated, high-impact disputes, including securities fraud and other complex class action matters. This role offers the chance to take on meaningful responsibility across multiple cases, develop strategy with experienced litigators, and build deep expertise in complex commercial litigation.

THE ROLE
– Analyze potential claims and develop litigation theories and strategy
– Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions and class certification-related briefing
– Manage fact development and discovery, including document review strategy and written discovery
– Prepare for and participate in depositions (taking and defending, depending on experience)
– Support expert discovery, mediation preparation, and trial preparation as matters progress
– Coordinate case management tasks across multiple matters, with strong attention to deadlines and detail
LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

New York, New York
Schedule:
Hybrid, 3 days in-office per week (Tuesday and Wednesday required)
Compensation:
Base salary range: $195,000 to $320,000
REQUIREMENTS
– Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
– Active admission in New York (New York Bar required)
– Approximately 3 to 5 years of post-graduation experience (target class years 2021 to 2022)
– Hands-on experience in complex commercial litigation, including strong motion and brief writing
– Excellent legal research, analytical, and advocacy skills
– Strong time management skills and comfort handling multiple fast-moving matters
– Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
– Experience with securities class actions, shareholder disputes, derivative actions, or financial fraud matters
– Deposition experience (taking or defending)
– Judicial clerkship experience
– Trial experience (helpful but not required)
