Main goal
Join UC3’s Legal & Business Affairs team to play an important role in the provision of legal support for UC3’s commercial rights activities in relation to UEFA’s men’s and women’s club competitions. You will be part of the exciting new future of UEFA’s club competitions.
Key Responsibilities
Providing legal input and advice relating to the exploitation and implementation of commercial rights (including media, marketing, sponsorship, licensing and merchandising rights) across all UEFA club competitions
Supporting the provision of legal services in relation to UC3’s marketing agencies for the drafting of all relevant legal documentation, including rights agreements and general commercial contracts
Supporting the management of contractual matters including liaising with and instructing UC3’s marketing agencies
Providing legal support to UC3’s commercial rights team primarily in relation to media, marketing, sponsorship, licensing and merchandising rights matters
Protecting UC3’s and the UEFA competitions’ broader and overall interests from a business affairs perspective
Cooperating and communicating with other lawyers within UC3, UEFA’s Legal Affairs division and the European Club Association
Reporting and proactively assisting the other members of the UC3 legal team to ensure the high-quality delivery of legal services to internal and external clients
Requirements
Experience
From 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or international organisation
Experience in a commercial environment, ideally in relation to the exploitation of commercial rights
Experience of commercial contract drafting and negotiation
Education
Fully qualified lawyer with outstanding academic qualifications
Languages
English: business fluent (excellent drafting, negotiation and oral communication skills)
Other Requirements
Good knowledge of commercial and contract law
Strong core legal skills and an understanding of commercial business drivers
Appropriate IT skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Office
Ability to prioritise to ensure consistent delivery of multiple simultaneous projects to tight deadlines
Team spirit: good cooperation with colleagues and counterparts, willing to help and support others to reach common goals even under stress
