Staff Attorney Opening – Health and Income Maintenance (HIM) Unit
Location: Miami, FL, 33134
We are currently seeking a Staff Attorney to join our Health and Income Maintenance (HIM) Unit in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health law and income maintenance programs, with a focus on advocating for low-income individuals and families.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal representation and advocacy for clients in health and income maintenance cases
Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations
Prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings
Participate in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective representation of clients
Stay current on developments in health and income maintenance law
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Florida State Bar
2+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on health and income maintenance law preferred
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and advocacy skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
