Legal Operations Technology Manager is primarily responsible for the Legal Suite of Technology and will act as a liaison between legal and IT.
Work Schedule: Given the collaborative and complex nature of this work, this role is onsite at our headquarters in Irvine, California.
How you’ll make an impact:
Plan and lead the implementation of legal projects and activities with accountability for successful completion within scope of project deliverables
Manage the day-to-day activities on the implementation of legal technology platforms
Develop appropriate metrics and benchmarking through data analytics to measure the Legal system performance.
Lead the implementation of department wide and enterprise wide (as needed) communications and project tracking programs through the use of technology tools and other resources across the department and with other business units.
Prepare company reports and work on projects in support of the attorneys
Provide direction and guidance to smaller project teams to execute tactical legal projects and/or initiatives
Identify and evaluate legal process improvement opportunities including provide recommendations and problem solving
Develop internal policies and processes
Create a training plan for legal technology and onboarding
Other Incidental duties.
What you’ll need (Required):
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience of previous related experience
What else we look for (Preferred):
Experience working within a law firm or corporate legal department
Proven successful project management skills
Proven expertise in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel), Adobe
Experience with CPA, iManage, IPDAS, ANAQUA) preferred (Patent only)
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
Extensive knowledge and understanding of Edwards’ policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to subject matter
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and Legal team including regular contact with company executives, clients in all business units and work with attorneys across the Legal Department, including legal analysts, and support staff
Ability to consult in project setting within specific sections
Ability to provide leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California, the base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $167,000 (highly experienced).
