Job Summary
Our client, a prestigious full-service law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Products Liability Litigation Group in Tampa, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to assist attorneys in representing clients across various industries, including automobile manufacturers, medical device companies, consumer product companies and more.
Ideal candidates will reside in the Tampa area and the firm is open to a hybrid schedule. The firm is open to remote candidates in Florida; however, candidates will be required to travel to attend trials in-person.
Responsibilities
- Draft, prepare, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Manage case files, deadlines, calendars, and litigation-related documentation.
- Assist with preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, witnesses, and other outside parties.
- Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case and factual research as needed.
- Prepare exhibits, deposition materials, trial binders, and other materials for hearings and trial.
- Attend trial with attorneys as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years defense litigation experience, particularly products liability experience.
- Experience tacking billable hours is required.
- Experience attending trial is a plus.
- Must have a working knowledge of State and Federal court rules.
- Proficiency with legal softwares (Relativity, Xera).
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills with ability to quickly prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Excellent research skills.
- Profiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and web-based applications.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $84,000.00 per year
