Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for their Raleigh, NC office. This is a permanent position offering a remote schedule.

Responsibilities:

Organize records, documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable format.

Prepare medical record chronologies.

Analysis and review of case documents in order to assist in deposition and trial preparation.

Contact clients, witnesses, experts, third parties, and opposing counsel to obtain information pertinent to the case matter.

Assist attorneys in research, drafting pleadings, subpoenas for records, disclosures, interrogatories, discovery requests, motions while under supervision.

Work closely with legal assistants to schedule and calendar for attorney depositions and activities related to depositions (i.e. court reporter, witnesses, opposing counsel).

Track all requests made for documents and records, follow up on status of requests, and verify receipt of documents and records.

Record all billable and non-billable time spent on case files and client matters.

Follow the ethical requirements as set forth by the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct.

Requirements:

Minimum of three years of experience

A Paralegal certificate or degree is required

Requires excellent computer and document organization skills, a working knowledge/experience with Word, Outlook and a familiarity with iManage or other document management systems

iTimekeep and/or other timekeeping software proficiency is preferred and experience with e-discovery is a plus.
