Role Description
The Litigation Counsel role is focused on owning high-stakes disputes end-to-end — from early case assessment through resolution — with crisp judgment, strong written advocacy, and disciplined execution under tight deadlines.
You’ll lead litigation strategy, manage discovery and motion practice, coordinate internal stakeholders, and work with outside counsel when needed. You’ll also help build repeatable litigation playbooks and escalation paths so risk stays controlled as the company scales.
What you’ll work on:
- Running active matters: claims/defenses, pleadings, discovery plans, motions, and settlement posture
- Building case strategy with clear risk/ROI tradeoffs and decision memos
- Managing outside counsel: budgets, tasking, quality control, and timelines
- Partnering with product, security, and operations teams on litigation-sensitive workflows (holds, preservation, comms)
- Improving litigation readiness: templates, checklists, and training for internal teams

Qualifications
- 5+ years (or equivalent) of litigation experience (law firm, in-house, or both)
- Strong drafting and advocacy skills (motions, briefs, discovery letters, settlement memos)
- Experience running discovery, including e-discovery workflows and privilege processes
- Strong judgment under ambiguity; ability to prioritize aggressively and execute
- Comfort partnering cross-functionally with executives and technical teams
- Bonus: experience with technology, IP, privacy/security, product liability, or regulatory-adjacent disputes
