We're working with a specialised government cyber security function in NSW to place an experienced Cyber Risk Analyst on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on delivery role. You'll integrate into an active team and be expected to produce quality outputs from day one.

What you'll be doing:
• Conducting cyber risk assessments across project, operational, and third-party contexts
• Maintaining and uplifting risk documentation – risk statements, controls mapping, treatment plans, ownership and status tracking
• Preparing risk and assurance reporting packs for executive and oversight audiences
• Supporting assurance activities – evidence collection, control validation, remediation tracking
• Engaging across technical and senior stakeholder groups to drive risk outcomes
What you need:
• Proven experience as a Cyber / Information Security Risk Analyst in complex environments
• Strong written comms – exec-grade outputs that don't need significant rework
• Solid GRC fundamentals – risk registers, controls mapping, reporting cadences
• Ability to work autonomously within defined governance structures
• Available to commit to the full initial term
• Eligible for criminal history and/or security vetting (mandatory)
Bonus points for:
• CISM, CRISC, CISSP or ISO 27001 certification
• Prior government, regulatory, or law enforcement experience
• NSW Government cyber security policy framework familiarity
• Internal audit or supply chain risk assessment experience
