Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Process Server to join our legal services team. Duties
- Serve a wide range of legal documents including subpoenas, summons, complaints, petitions, restraining orders, eviction notices, wage garnishments, foreclosure notices, injunctions, child support documents, divorce papers, trust documents, lien documents, criminal documents, custody orders, writs, and deed documents.
- Utilize mobile data collection software and mobile devices to document service attempts and successful deliveries accurately.
- Manage process serving records meticulously by filing proof of service and maintaining organized records in compliance with legal standards.
- Conduct personal vehicle deliveries across various locations to ensure timely service of documents.
- Perform private investigations when necessary to locate individuals or gather pertinent information related to service attempts.
- Scan and upload relevant documentation into digital systems for record keeping and future reference.
- Follow procedural law guidelines rigorously while executing service tasks and uphold professional ethics at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Process Server with comprehensive knowledge of procedural law governing service of process.
- Proven experience in serving legal documents such as subpoenas, summons, eviction notices, restraining orders, and other court-related papers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage process serving records efficiently.
- Excellent report writing skills for documenting service attempts and outcomes clearly and accurately.
- Ability to operate mobile data collection software and mobile devices seamlessly in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable personal vehicle for delivery purposes; valid driver’s license required.
- Demonstrated professionalism with high ethical standards in all interactions.
- Knowledge of legal procedures related to serving child support documents, lien notices, foreclosure notices, injunctions, divorce papers, custody orders, criminal documents, trust documents, and other legal filings is highly preferred.
