We’re seeking a Legal Researcher & Writer to join a collaborative Content Team responsible for creating high-quality legal analysis and practical guidance for attorneys and legal professionals. This role combines traditional legal research and writing with modern AI-assisted content development, making it ideal for attorneys who enjoy writing, analyzing complex legal issues, and leveraging technology to improve legal content.

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full-Time | Standard Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (U.S. Time Zone, with flexibility)

Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: Up to $32.00/hr W2 (Candidates must meet all required qualifications.)

About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft clear, analytical legal content.
  • Analyze legislation, case law, regulations, and legal developments.
  • Write articles and commentaries on current legal and tax topics for practicing attorneys.
  • Ensure all content meets legal, editorial, and quality standards.
  • Utilize AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to assist with outlining, drafting, summarizing, and editing legal content.
  • Develop effective AI prompts and evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy and quality.
  • Monitor changes in U.S. law and emerging legal technologies.
  • Partner with Editorial Directors, Legal Editors, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to develop new legal content.
  • Participate in product initiatives, process improvements, and content innovation projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of legal practice experience or equivalent.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and original writing skills.
  • Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar to support legal research and writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lexis+ AI, Protégé, or similar legal research platforms.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience creating legal publications, practice guidance, or analytical legal content.
