GPSC, PTT Group's Power Flagship, has been founded on 10th January 2013 through the amalgamation of PTTUT and IPT to be the power flagship of PTT Group. Its core business is to generate and supply electricity, steam, and processed water to its customers.
Main Purpose:
To support business operations by providing legal advice, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts related to investments and transactions, in order to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with laws and corporate policies.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Provide legal advice on all aspects of energy project investments, including greenfield and brownfield development, M&A, and due diligence in Asia-Pacific and, as necessary, beyond.
- Advise project teams to ensure compliance with contractual terms and legal requirements related to energy projects.
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate commercial contracts, letters of agreement, and other legal documentation to protect the company’s legal and business interests.
- Provide legal solutions to contractual issues.
- Manage contractual risks effectively and promote the company’s interests.
- Lead and coordinate the contract process, including negotiations with internal departments (e.g., BD, Finance) and external stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain corporate legal documents, including company regulations and key agreements.
- Prepare documents for Board of Directors and Shareholders meetings.
- Provide legal advice to ensure business development activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct legal research and provide guidance to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in law (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in business/transaction law.
- Experience with international law firms or a multinational energy company is preferred.
- Excellence command of English (spoken and written); Minimum TOEIC score of 700
