We are looking for a Legal Supervisor to oversee legal department processes, assist external counsel in handling litigation cases, collaborate with legal representatives, and support the business in administrative, labor, and litigation proceedings while providing internal legal guidance. The role involves conducting legal research on relevant laws, judicial decisions, and legal materials, as well as tracking and managing case files, organizing evidence, and maintaining documentation for ongoing legal matters. The successful candidate will also handle corporate housekeeping and contract management tasks, including drafting and reviewing legal documents such as affidavits, SPAs, request and demand letters, and assisting the Corporate Secretary in preparing general corporate documents.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the legal department processes
- Assist external counsel in handling litigation cases
- Collaborate with external legal counsel and represent the business in administrative, labor and litigation proceedings and provide necessary internal legal support.
- Conduct legal research on appropriate laws, judicial decisions, legal articles, and other materials that are relevant to the case and keeps track of documents related to the case
- Track and manage case files, organizing evidence and documentation to support ongoing litigation or legal matters.
- Draft and review legal documents, such as but not limited to affidavits, SPAs, request letters, and demand letters etc.
- Assists the Corporate Secretary in preparing general corporate housekeeping documents.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other related agreements with clients, vendors, suppliers, and other key partners.
- Maintain and manage contract files, tracking key dates for renewals, deadlines, and compliance obligations, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid and active member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
- Must have Juris Doctor / Bachelor's of Law (LLB) degree or any equivalent
- Deadline-driven
- Keen attention to detail
- If necessary, willing to visit other company branches (accommodation and travel expenses will be paid by the company)
- 1-3 years working as a Legal Officer/Legal Assistant, preferably in a Law Firm
- Must have experience in litigation and contracts management
- Experience in managing small claims cases and barangay conciliation/mediation
