To be a part of the Employment & Benefits and Intellectual Property practices, supporting Partners and Associates in both groups. You will be part of a team of secretaries working to ensure the smooth operation of the practices through efficient document management, client liaison, and coordination of matters, contributing to high-quality client service and effective workflow management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full spectrum of secretarial support to Partners and Associates in the Employment & Benefits and Intellectual Property practices
  • Assist with litigation including, prepare bundles, indexes, compiling of witness statements and other court documents
  • Assist in preparing and collating reports and other documents
  • Schedule meetings, arrange travel and manage diaries, liaise with clients, counsel and third parties
  • Coordinate and manage business-related activities on behalf of the practice
  • Prepare bills for clients and input timesheets for fee-earners; follow up with clients on outstanding bills
  • Undertake any other ad hoc responsibilities as required
  • Assist and provide cover in the absence of other team secretaries

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of legal secretarial experience in well-regarded legal firms, preferably with experience in dispute resolution
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage
  • Strong IT skills; highly proficient in MS Office
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to interface with internal and external clients
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
  • Willing to learn and with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Detail-oriented; ability to effectively manage time
