About Litmas AI

Litmas AI is a platform built specifically for litigation. We help law firms move faster across the full case lifecycle, from pre-suit analysis and evidence mapping through drafting, legal research, and formatting, without sacrificing the accuracy that legal work demands. We are a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team, and the quality of what we produce is the product. That applies to the work our platform generates and to the story we tell the legal market. This role owns both.

The Role

Case law research sits at the center of everything Litmas AI does. When our platform drafts a motion, every case it cites has to be real, correctly stated, and on point. We are looking for an attorney to own that review: reading the output, evaluating the cases, and confirming the work would hold up in real litigation before a customer relies on it. The first and larger part of this role is evaluating the platform's legal output. The second is writing content for our blog and our LinkedIn thought leadership. Both draw on the same foundation, which is the judgment of a working litigator who knows what good legal work looks like and can write about it credibly. The research and evaluation work is the lead piece, and the content work is the second focus. This is a full-time, fully remote role. One important scheduling point: most of our releases go out over the weekend so Sunday is a required working day. You can take two days off whenever you prefer across the rest of the week.

What You'll Do

EVALUATING LEGAL OUTPUT

  • Evaluate the case law in AI-drafted motions, confirming that every case cited is real, accurately stated, and genuinely on point.
  • Review the substance of drafted motions, research, and analyses, and assess whether the reasoning and procedure would hold up in real litigation.
  • Validate legal accuracy, citation correctness, completeness, and whether the output follows the instructions a user gave the platform.
  • As each release goes out, work through the platform's output and confirm its quality has held.
  • Releases concentrate over the weekend, so this work peaks around Sunday.
  • Surface patterns where the platform falls short on legal substance, and give the product team clear, specific feedback so it can improve.
  • Help define and refine the standards the platform's output is held to across law practice areas such as personal injury, mass tort, and employment.

CONTENT & THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

  • Write blog posts and LinkedIn thought leadership on litigation, legal technology, and how AI is changing the way cases are run.
  • Work from direction we provide. You are not expected to come up with the ideas, because we have the topics and the angles. You bring the writing and the legal credibility behind it.
  • Produce content that will be published under company leadership's name, written in their voice.
  • Hold every piece to the same accuracy and citation standard as the platform's output, subject to legal and brand review.

What We're Looking For

  • A U.S. licensed attorney in good standing, currently practising or very recently in practice.
  • Hands-on litigation experience. You have drafted motions, performed legal research, and you know citation and procedural standards cold.
  • Strong writing skills. Given a topic and a direction, you can turn it into clear, credible, well-cited content.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a low tolerance for “close enough” on legal accuracy and citations.
  • The discipline to work independently and go deep on focused, detailed work. This role rewards concentration over visibility.
  • A working grasp of law practice areas such as personal injury, mass tort, and employment, or the ability to ramp quickly.

Nice to Have

  • Appellate experience or a judicial clerkship.
  • Experience with contingency-fee or plaintiff-side litigation.
  • An existing portfolio of published legal, legal-tech, or thought-leadership writing.
  • Prior exposure to legal tech and AI tools.
  • Familiarity with issue trackers such as Linear or Jira

Why This Role

This role is built for an experienced litigation attorney who wants the substance of legal work without the pressure of the litigation lifestyle. You will use your training every day, evaluating real legal output and writing for an audience of attorneys, on a fully remote team at an AI company that is moving quickly. For the right person, that combination is hard to find anywhere else.
