SHIMANTO BANK PLC is looking for Legal Officer (SPO-AVP)
Job Description / Responsibility
- Supervise Bank’s legal related issues.
- To deal with Bank`s suits/cases.
- Conducting legal activities related to suits/cases.
- Drafting and vetting various types of land related documents, legal instruments and agreements.
- Follow up suits/cases from filing to till disposal.
- Attending Courts to follow up suits/cases for early disposal.
- Providing legal opinion on land related, security documentation and various legal issues.
Educational Requirements
- The candidate must have L.L.B (Hon`s)/L.L.M from any reputed local or foreign University with good academic record.
- Skills Required: Legal Affairs
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Banks
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 5-10 years working experience in the Legal Division of reputed organizations, preferably in commercial banks or financial institutions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- The candidate must be enrolled with Bangladesh Bar Council and have membership of Dhaka Bar Association or Chittagong Bar Association or any other local bar.
- Permission to practice before the Honorable High Court Division will be considered as added advantage.
- Strong capability in drafting legal instruments/documents/agreements/preparing and filing court cases independently.
- Expertise in dealing with Court cases, preferably cases related to banking business i.e. Artha Rin Adalat , Criminal Cases (under N.I Act).
- Candidates must have to have good knowledge about Banking Law and Company Law.
- Good Communication skills both in English and Bangla.
- Strong Command over Microsoft Office.
- Ability and willing to work under stress, ability to complete all assignments in a timely and effective manner.
- Requirements may be relaxed for relevant and experienced candidates.
