FULL-TIME LEGAL NURSE CONSULTANT POSITION AVAILABLE to assist our litigation practice group.
Legal Nurse Consultant Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in nursing;
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Nurse Practitioner by the State of Illinois;
- 5 years of clinical experience; and
- Ideally, but not required, a candidate would have prior experience as a legal nurse consultant or as a nurse paralegal with paralegal certificate.
Legal Nurse Consultant Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records, medical bills, and other evidence;
- Draft internal memoranda, chronologies, and summaries;
- Research medical literature;
- Identify standards of care for particular cases;
- Consultation with attorneys, staff, and clients regarding cases;
- Identify expert witnesses for consultation and testimony;
- Interview witnesses;
- Prepare cases for depositions, hearings, and trials;
- Create exhibits;
- Attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
