Job Description
- Advise ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate and tax planning strategies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans tailored to complex financial, family, business, and tax considerations.
- Handle taxable estate planning matters requiring strong technical knowledge and sound legal judgment.
- Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents, trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and related instruments.
- Counsel clients regarding wealth transfer, succession, charitable planning, and other advanced planning strategies.
- Analyze complex tax and estate planning issues and translate them into practical recommendations for clients.
- Work directly with clients and collaborate with other professionals, including financial advisors, accountants, and other legal professionals.
- Manage multiple sophisticated matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness, and client service.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and help deliver high-quality legal work on behalf of demanding clients.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active Colorado bar license and good standing.
- 3+ years of directly relevant estate and tax planning experience.
- Strong experience with sophisticated estate planning and taxable estate matters.
- Experience advising high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families strongly preferred.
- Big-law, Am Law, boutique, or other sophisticated law firm experience preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, professionalism, and client-service orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters independently while working effectively with a team.
