About the Company
Our client is a leading real estate group with an established presence across Asia. They are seeking a Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team, supporting complex real estate acquisitions, developments, divestments, joint ventures and other corporate transactions across Singapore and regional markets.
Responsibilities
You will provide legal advice to business and functional teams on a broad range of real estate, development and construction matters. You will structure, draft and negotiate real estate acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, leases, financing and security documents, construction-related contracts and other commercial agreements. You will also support cross-border M&A and investment transactions, advise on disputes and general corporate matters, and manage external counsel to ensure commercially focused and cost-effective advice. In addition, you will support the development of legal policies, templates and processes as well as corporate secretarial matters.
Requirements
You should be a qualified lawyer with 6-8 years’ PQE gained in a reputable law firm and/or an in-house legal team, with strong experience in corporate real estate matters. You should have a solid foundation in corporate and transactional work, including experience advising on complex real estate and cross-border transactions. Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills are essential, together with good commercial judgment and the ability to provide practical solutions to senior business stakeholders.
