Position: Legal Counsel, Phase 2 Projects at LNG
Join LNG Canada as a Legal Counsel to support the Phase 2 expansion. This role focuses on project contracts and legal strategies during construction activities.
In this position, you will provide essential legal guidance primarily to the Projects and Contracting & Procurement teams. Your expertise will aid in negotiating and managing various construction contracts while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation. The role requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively work within a diverse legal team and support project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on development and negotiation of Project Contracts
• Oversee day-to-day contract management issues
• Facilitate relevant training for the Projects and C&P groups
• Collaborate with outside counsel when needed
• Ensure compliance with Project policies and standards
Requirements:
• 7-10 years at the bar with relevant contract experience
• Strong skills in negotiation and risk management
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters
• Excellent communication skills across cultures
• Ability to work in Calgary, complying with safety protocols
