In this position, you will serve as a critical advisor to senior leaders at FCC, tackling complex employment issues and managing legal risks effectively. You will bring your five-plus years of experience in corporate legal frameworks to ensure compliance with the Canada Labour Code and oversee civil litigation processes. Your work will help shape accessible HR policies within a diverse and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic legal advice on HR matters
• Independently manage civil litigation cases
• Supervise outside legal counsel as needed
• Draft legal documents and policy guides
• Develop HR training tools and processes
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
• At least five years in legal practice or corporate law
• Expertise in Canadian employment law
• Proven sound judgment in legal decision-making
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French
