The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters including drafting agreements, addressing compliance issues, and participating in negotiation discussions. In order to succeed, this candidate should feel comfortable working with in-house and outside counsels on a variety of legal matters.

Responsibilities

  • Providing pro-active legal services (ranging from contract review, drafting and negotiations and general legal advice) across broad-range of issues, ranging from real estate development projects to organization of live entertainment events
  • Designing and delivering legal and compliance training to the business
  • Reviewing and improving legal processes, including exploration of legal technology tools
  • Supporting implementation of policies and initiatives for better controls and procedures
  • Staying up to date with changes to legislation, particularly laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the business and the industry
  • Communicating with and managing external counsel
  • Supporting data privacy and information security related matters
  • Work will include supporting people from across the region, particularly Singapore, China, Japan and Thailand

Qualifications

  • LLB / JD degree from a reputable law school
  • 4-7 PQE
  • Relevant law firm and/or in-house practice/experience, preferably a mix of both
  • Strategic business partner to the business
  • High emotional intelligence and strong ability to adapt to change
  • Passion or interest in live entertainment is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Ability to work both as a team player and independently
  • Experience in entertainment, corporate real estate, mergers and acquisitions or working with regional teammates is beneficial but not mandatory
