Competitive Join a leading organisation within the leisure, sports, and events sector, operating across a diverse portfolio that includes hospitality, leisure venues, and live events. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Legal Counsel to work alongside senior leadership, providing legal support across a wide-ranging remit including commercial and media contracts, compliance, and contract management. Day-to-day of the role:
Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, focusing on media rights, distribution, licensing , and technical matters. Provide legal management and support for a range of retail and online betting partner relationships in the UK and internationally. Offer legal support to business stakeholders on a broad range of matters including real estate, NDAs, sponsorship, and service agreements. Support operational venues with negotiating and drafting contracting requirements related to events, sponsorship, venue hire, brand partnerships, marketing, licensing, and more.
Assist with legal matters affecting the wider group and its subsidiaries, including managing external legal counsel where required. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Qualified lawyer with 4-5 years PQE (Post-Qualification Experience), ideally with experience in commercial, media, or technology law, either in private practice or in-house, and preferably both. Experience in media rights licensing would be advantageous. Strong technical legal drafting skills with clear and concise communication. Commercially minded with strong problem-solving ability. Able to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage workload effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships across a range of stakeholders.
