Our client is a private equity-backed data centre developer and operator seeking a Legal Counsel to support its growing business in Japan. This role is based in Tokyo.
Key Responsibilities
- Support corporate, commercial and operational legal matters
- Draft, review and negotiate a range of agreements
- Assist with corporate transactions, joint ventures and business expansion
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel
- Provide practical legal advice to the business
Requirements
- Approximately 3–7 years of relevant legal experience
- Native-level Japanese and strong business-level English
- Candidates from law firms may be considered, including lawyers, fee earners and experienced paralegals
- Corporate practice experience would be advantageous
- Relevant in-house experience within data centres, digital infrastructure, real estate, energy, telecommunications or adjacent sectors would also be suitable
- Commercial, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment
