Temporary Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts & Outsourcing

A highly respected global organization in the insurance and financial services sector is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel for a temporary/contract engagement supporting commercial contracting, outsourcing, technology transactions, and vendor operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned commercial attorney who enjoys sophisticated contracting work, partnering with business leaders, and driving strategic legal initiatives in a fast-paced corporate environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Serve as the lead legal advisor on complex commercial agreements, including technology, SaaS, cloud services, software licensing, professional services, procurement, and vendor contracts.
- Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial agreements supporting multiple business units.
- Partner with procurement, technology, compliance, privacy, and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
- Advise senior leadership on outsourcing strategies, vendor relationships, and commercial risk management.
- Support M&A-related projects, including contract due diligence, disclosure schedules, and post-closing integration matters.
- Help develop and enhance commercial contracting processes, playbooks, and best practices.
Ideal Background:
- J.D. and active bar membership.
- 5+ years of experience as a commercial transactional attorney.
- Strong experience negotiating complex technology, procurement, outsourcing, and vendor agreements.
- Familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, and vendor risk considerations.
- Experience within insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and partner effectively with senior business stakeholders.
