Legal Assistant
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Employment Type: Full Time, In person
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Grand Rapids law firm seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant in our Workers’ Compensation Department. This is an entry level position that is great for someone interested in administrative work and/or understanding the workings of the legal field. The following job responsibilities are not all inclusive. Flexibility, willingness to learn and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a requirement of this position.
Job Responsibilities:
Send subpoena requests and various other court documents
Answer phone calls
Send/receive authorization forms
Organize and manage files
Transcribe dictation from multiple attorneys
Assist other legal assistants with various tasks
Skill requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Very detail oriented
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficient typing skills
Familiar with Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritize assignments
Team player with a positive attitude
Highly organized
