Position Summary:

The Donnell Law Group is seeking a Legal Coordinator in its Columbus, Ohio office. This position involves working with attorneys primarily on civil litigation and probate matters in Ohio and Michigan. The right candidate will be a proactive self-starter with exceptional organizational skills who prefers an autonomous work environment and can handle a large volume of files in a fast paced environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and court required forms; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures and jurisdiction.
  • Assist attorneys in organizing and managing case files; including maintaining document databases and electronic records.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys.
  • Assist attorneys with routine communications with clients and third parties.
  • Office management including mail tracking, calendaring deadlines, answering phones, ordering supplies, data entry and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists, and coordinating logistics for court appearances with occasional travel to court hearings.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • One or more years experience as a paralegal preferred.
  • One or more years office experience required.
  • Experience with Clio case management, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Lexis Nexis, preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare field or with healthcare insurance a plus.
  • Project and case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Tenacious curiosity for learning, can-do attitude and forward thinking to stay one step ahead at all times.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, flex opportunities.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
