A court reporting firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking Digital Court Reporters to join our team!
We will request a few sample transcripts and/or audio files so that we can verify the quality of your work — our clients are very important to us and we want to ensure that we’re giving them quality court reporters so that they continue to be loyal and use our services regularly.
You do not need to live in Fort Lauderdale, FL to apply. Anyone living in Miami or the Tri-County area is welcome to apply. We have anywhere from 40 – 60 jobs a day and we have plenty of work to go around! Trials, hearings, depositions, EUOs, and IMEs are in abundance.
Digital reporters are paid per hour for their appearance via Zoom for depositions. Rates begin at $55 per hour and $25 for each additional hour. Additional pay is given to those who are able to go live in the area of Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Boca Raton, Port St. Lucie, and the surrounding areas. Milage may also be provided, depending on the distance from your home.
Reporters can earn more if they choose to edit their own transcripts, which will be written by our transcription system. The pay is $1 .00 per page to start, up to $1.50 per page.
We are looking for full-time, part-time, or overflow reporters and need several to help us cover our jobs.
Requirements:
Reliable!
Modern computer with a camera
Headset/microphone
Backup digital recorder
Computer literate (you must be able to use Zoom)
Fast, reliable internet connection (no satellite)
Reasonably open availability
Florida Notary License (or the ability to obtain one)
Sample transcripts or audio for us to look over/listen to
At least 2 months experience
Plus/Bonus:
Open availability
Equipment to go live (mixer, microphones)
Ability to do live jobs in your area, if one comes up.
Computer savvy (you can use your computer for more than just Zoom!)
Your own clients!
If you bring along your own clients, you get a commission from any jobs they set with us.
