We are seeking a Legal & Compliance Specialist with expertise in India-specific corporate, labor, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background with hands-on experience in compliance management, regulatory reporting, and risk mitigation. Experience with technology-driven compliance frameworks and compliance management tools is highly preferred. While contract management is not mandatory, it will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to Indian corporate, labor, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Oversee and manage compliance management systems and tools to ensure regulatory alignment.
Monitor and enforce data protection and integrity laws in compliance with Indian regulations such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA).
Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks to identify and mitigate legal risks.
Implement, update, and monitor HR compliance policies, code of conduct, and corporate governance frameworks.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, legal counsels, and internal stakeholders for compliance-related matters.
Provide legal advisory support on compliance-related concerns, regulatory developments, and policy implementation.
Develop and conduct compliance training programs to enhance awareness of legal and regulatory obligations.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Indian corporate, labor, and regulatory compliance laws.
Proven experience with compliance management tools and technology-driven compliance solutions.
Expertise in data privacy laws, regulatory reporting, and risk mitigation strategies.
Familiarity with corporate governance, HR legal policies, and ethics compliance.
Ability to conduct compliance audits, regulatory filings, and due diligence.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and legal research skills.
Prior experience in a corporate legal, compliance, or regulatory affairs role is preferred.
