About The Job
KAY & Partners is hiring a Legal Associate to join its Jaipur office. The role offers hands-on experience in corporate advisory, litigation, regulatory compliance, banking laws, dispute resolution, and intellectual property matters while working alongside experienced legal professionals.
Position
Legal Associate
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
- 0–1 year of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Willingness to travel for court appearances and official assignments.
- Proactive approach, strong professional ethics, and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist in corporate, litigation, and compliance matters.
- Draft legal notices, replies, pleadings, legal opinions, applications, petitions, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case briefs and litigation strategies.
- Coordinate with advocates, clients, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor litigation and ensure compliance with court directions and statutory deadlines.
- Appear before courts and tribunals, where appropriate, and assist during hearings.
- Maintain legal documentation, case records, and follow-ups.
- Handle matters relating to the SARFAESI Act, recovery proceedings, and allied banking laws.
- Assist in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) matters, including trademarks, copyrights, prosecution, and enforcement.
- Liaise with external counsel and independently manage litigation follow-ups.
Probation
The selected candidate will undergo a three-month probation period, during which performance, professional conduct, and suitability for the role will be assessed. Appointment will be confirmed upon successful completion of the probation period.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and prevailing market standards.
