Role Description The Legal Associate will work on a full-time basis in a hybrid arrangement, primarily based in Singapore with some flexibility for remote work. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and analyzing legal issues, drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documents, and assisting with dispute resolution matters such as litigation and arbitration. The role involves preparing case files, supporting senior lawyers in hearings and negotiations, and coordinating with clients, counterparties, and external stakeholders. The Legal Associate will also contribute to corporate advisory work, including due diligence, regulatory compliance reviews, and transaction support, while maintaining organized documentation and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law and understanding of commercial and corporate legal frameworks.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and formatting contracts, pleadings, and opinions.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for assessing legal issues, evaluating risks, and proposing practical solutions.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
- Ability to identify, research, and address complex Legal Issues across dispute resolution and corporate advisory work.
- LLB or equivalent law degree; admission to practice law in Singapore (or eligibility to be admitted) is required.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, professional conduct, and commitment to ethical legal practice.
- Prior experience or internships in commercial, corporate, or dispute resolution practices will be an advantage.
