Role Description The Legal Associate will work full time on-site in Tirana, Albania, supporting client engagements across corporate, commercial, and financial law matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching legal issues, assisting in drafting and reviewing contracts, corporate documents, and regulatory filings, and preparing legal opinions and memoranda. The role involves supporting transaction structuring, due diligence, and documentation, as well as assisting with compliance programs and regulatory submissions. The Legal Associate will collaborate with senior lawyers on legislative projects, policy documents, and EU-alignment initiatives, and will communicate with clients, public institutions, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, particularly in corporate, commercial, and financial law.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including contracts, corporate documentation, and regulatory filings.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for legal research, issue spotting, and assessing regulatory implications.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for client interactions, internal collaboration, and drafting written opinions.
- Ability to identify, interpret, and address complex Legal Issues in transactional and regulatory contexts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law; bar admission or eligibility is an advantage.
- Experience or strong interest in banking, finance, and regulatory compliance; familiarity with EU law and EU approximation is beneficial.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple matters under time constraints.
- Fluency in Albanian and strong proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Demonstrated integrity, professional ethics, and willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
