Position: Legal Assistant – Sophisticated San Diego Litigation Team
A leading defense firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its San Diego office. This position supports the Commercial Litigation practice and offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience with a strong understanding of California state and federal court procedures (stronger state experience is acceptable, but federal exposure is required).
Highly organized, proactive, and communicative, with a strong work ethic and commitment to long-term employment.
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Adobe, with experience in e-filing for California state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Support: Format, proofread, and finalize pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence.
Case Management: Open, maintain, and close case files, manage court deadlines, and ensure accurate filings.
Administrative Coordination: Schedule appointments, coordinate travel, process expenses, and maintain communication with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
