Overview:
Responsible for litigation case management, including discovery, tracking case deadlines and filings, and managing case files. Also responsible for the management of all property and liability insurance claims from the date of loss through delivery of proceeds
Responsibilities:
Read, review, summarize and manage internal discovery.
Track court and other case deadlines and filings.
Manage and organize litigation case files.
Review and monitor incoming incident accident reports.
Provide guidance and direction to apartment site teams responding to incidents and accidents, including the collection of incident documentation.
Submit documentation to insurance carriers and pursue recovery of insurance proceeds.
Perform insured loss analysis.
Facilitate timely payment to repair vendors.
Prepare litigation and insurance claim-related reporting on a recurring basis.
Answer claims-related and policy questions for company employees.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification strongly preferred.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in either the management of insured property and casualty claims or in a litigation paralegal role strongly preferred.
Experience using Origami Risk Management System strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of basic accounting preferred.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Able to work overtime.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
Fluency in Spanish a plus.

Pay: $74,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
