Responsibilities:
• Proactively support professionals in managing and tracking their cases.
• Coordinate schedules and ensure follow-ups for all appointments, meetings, hearings, events, and committees attended by the assigned professionals.
• Participate in the development of the template bank.
• Ensure deadlines are met, and track client files and deliverables.
• Professionally and courteously handle reminders and follow-ups with current and potential clients.
• Prepare the required documentation for various scheduled events.
• Proofread and correct documents.
• Handle file openings and billing.
• Prepare expense allocations.
• Perform various other administrative tasks as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
• Diploma in secretarial studies, legal secretarial studies, or equivalent training.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in legal secretarial work, litigation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word (intermediate/advanced), Outlook, and Excel.
• Knowledge of Maître and iManage Work 10 software (an asset).
• Bilingualism in spoken and written English and French is required to support lawyers with an anglophone client base.
• Client-oriented, courteous, and professional demeanor.
• Sense of responsibility,
attention to detail
, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Team spirit and initiative.
