Job Description
We are seeking a bilingual Legal Assistant with a strong administrative profile to support a U.S.-based personal injury law firm during the pre‑litigation stage. This role is ideal for candidates with 8–10 months up to 1 year of experience in U.S. legal environments who are comfortable handling administrative responsibilities while providing basic legal support. The position requires organization, attention to detail, and clear communication with medical providers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Administrative Responsibilities (Primary)
- Perform general administrative tasks related to case management
- Review and verify medical balances and billing information
- Make outbound calls to medical providers to confirm balances, request records, and follow up on documentation
- Maintain organized digital case files and update internal systems
Legal Support – Pre‑Litigation (Secondary)
- Provide support with first-party benefits / PIP-related tasks
- Assist in the preparation of demand packages under attorney supervision
- Support overall pre‑litigation processes, including document handling and case status updates
- Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and providers to obtain or relay case information
Qualifications
- 8–10 months up to 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative legal role within U.S. legal environments
- Experience in Personal Injury is preferred, but candidates from similar U.S. legal practice areas will be considered
- Administrative background with exposure to legal workflows
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- Comfortable with phone-based tasks and provider follow-ups
- Ability to manage routine tasks, follow procedures, and meet deadlines in a remote setting
