We are seeking a Legal Assistant for our Dallas office.

Position

Responsibilities

The Legal Assistant is a key contributor to the success of our initiatives. This individual will acquire an understanding of the mechanics of commercial litigation, including pleadings and discovery tools:

Be responsible for providing high level administrative support e.g. time entries, expense reports and travel arrangements;

Prepares for trial (organizes trial exhibits, files and all other supporting materials and makes arrangements for transporting and setting up case materials at court);

Hold responsibility for front to end management of binders and other documents;

Prepare pleadings and supporting materials for filing such as citing checking, Table of Authority and Table of Contents;

Assist with preparation for interviews, depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings;

Arrange for court reporters, interpreters, conference rooms, etc.;

Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;

Assist partners, associates and other legal assistants as needed.

Qualifications

3-5 years of related experience as a Legal Assistant;

Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing;

Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality;

Excellent organizational and written communication skills, including high level of attention to detail and active listening skills;

Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects and competing priorities;

Proficiency in MS Office including Mircosoft 365, NetDocs and other E discovery tools (We offer training for our prospective employees);

Notary Public preferred.
