Our team resides in New York and New Jersey and work on a wide variety of matters involving trucking, general liability, construction, product liability and more. We are seeking legal assistants with 2+ years of experience for our Hackensack, New Jersey office.
Responsibilities
Haworth Barber & Gerstman is looking for energetic and creative team members. We have an open-door policy and are looking for staff that want more from their career. We offer a full range of benefits and the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
file management
drafting documents and correspondence
E-court filing (PACER & NYCEF)
assembling motions
calendaring
procuring medical records
managing firm phone line
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience in legal assistance
Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe
Professional demeanor
Ability to organize and prioritize deadlines with strong attention to detail
