Legal Administrative Assistant (TEMP TO PERM)
Century City – 3 days/week in office following onboarding.
**37.5 hour work week + Parking completely covered by the firm.**
This position plays a key role in supporting attorneys with both legal and operational needs in the Labor & Employment practice group. Including ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Create, revise, and finalize a range of legal and business documents with precision
- Handle court filings across multiple jurisdictions, including preparing materials for efiling
- Ensure all outgoing documentation is complete by reviewing attachments, exhibits, and files
- Conduct review of written materials to confirm accuracy in formatting, spelling, and overall presentation
- Manage incoming correspondence by directing it appropriately and maintaining organized records
- Coordinate the assembly and distribution of materials through various delivery channels, including courier and overnight services
- Oversee expense tracking, invoice coordination, and payment processing activities
- Assist attorneys with maintaining accurate and timely timekeeping entries
- Provide support with billing by reviewing draft invoices and assisting with edits when needed
- Organize calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for legal staff
- Support the onboarding of new matters by initiating conflicts checks, opening files, and preparing matters for closure
- Partner with administrative teams to facilitate document production and other operational requests
- Offer backup assistance to other support staff as needed to ensure continuity of coverage
- Take on additional assignments and special projects as required
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of Litigation + Legal Assistant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a litigation support capacity within a law firm environment
- Background exposure to construction-related matters is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong written communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of legal terminology and formal citation practices
- Proficiency in core Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Familiarity with legal technology platforms, including document management, billing, and time-entry systems
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively support several attorneys at once
- Dependable work habits with a commitment to consistent attendance
- Willingness to be flexible with scheduling based on workload demands
