The Opportunity
An established banking and finance practice is seeking a lawyer to join its growing Melbourne team, working on a broad range of real estate finance transactions for an impressive portfolio of non-bank lenders and financial institutions.

The Role
Working closely with an experienced banking and finance team, you will advise on a broad range of secured lending transactions, with a particular focus on real estate finance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing lending matters from instruction through to settlement
- Preparing and negotiating finance and security documentation
- Advising lenders on acquisition, development and construction finance transactions
- Coordinating settlements through PEXA where required
- Building strong relationships with clients and delivering practical commercial advice
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across a range of complex financing matters
- Assisting with the supervision and mentoring of junior lawyers where appropriate
About You
You are a commercially minded lawyer with experience in banking and finance or property finance and an interest in working on high-quality lender-side transactions.
You will also bring:
- Around 2+ years' post-admission experience
- Exposure to real estate finance, secured lending or construction finance matters
- Experience using PEXA is advantageous
- Strong drafting, organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and client-focused approach
- The ability to manage matters efficiently while working collaboratively within a team
