Course Description
The course provides an introduction to the basics of corporate finance, including the use and analysis of financial statements, the valuation of debt, equity and derivation instruments, capital budgeting and the valuation and assessment of investment opportunities. The course will also examine the role of securities regulation and the basics of mergers and acquisitions with aparticular emphasis on the duties and obligations of directors when responding to an unsolicited takeover bid.
